Unique Apple iPad 4 Concept 0

Robo tech | 11:04 PM |

This is a very nice attempt of designing the next generation of iPad. The iPad 4 concept is based on Apple’s product line and built to top versatile new products. For this concept, the new iPad 4 features a built-in keyboard that slides at the bottom of the iPad.
It has similar functionality to the existing product but with some new details such as speakers from Bang & Olufsen, a new camera with HD 1080 12Mega pixel, and an aluminum frame, easy to recycle and maintain. The main idea was to design something that can replace not only tablet, but also netbook or even laptop.iPad 4 concept would function very well for your daily needs as if you have a laptop in your hand not justa tablet. Within this product line, this industrial designer also designed a portable hard disk to keep all yourdata safe.

Unique Glove One Wearable Mobile Communication Device 0

Robo tech | 6:32 AM | , ,

If this future technology came true, would you be willing to sacrifice your comfort by wearing it all the time?Glove One is a wearable mobile communication device, yes, you can make a phone call from it. This project goal is not to design future innovation, but to questions you about what kind of things you’re willing to sacrifice in order to participate in technology and social media. This technology presents delicate and ineffective object with which to augment ourselves. If you want to use this tech, it means you have to sacrifice your hand.

“It is both the literalization of Sherry Turkle’s notion of technology as a “phantom limb”, in how we augment ourselves through an ambivalent reliance on it, as well as a celebration of the freedom we seek in our devices. Emotional investment becomes physical, as the functionality of the device depends on the dysfunctionality of the wearer. While we enjoy the fantasies they offer, we rethink the technologies we construct and reflect on how they construct us.”

Robo tech | 8:49 AM | ,

Honda just unveiled its latest concept UNI-CUB personal mobility device, it is the upgraded version from U3-X personal mobility device that was announced in 2009. This unique vehicle features the same compact design, comfortable saddle and freedom of movement but still to some people think it’s an awkward design. What do you think?

The balance control technology and omni-directional driving wheel system allow rider to easily control speed and movement literally in any direction, simply shift his or her weight to control the direction. With this ability, rider can quickly and easily maneuver among other people. The design of this device allows its rider to maintain eye-level height with other people while the compact saddle style packaging allows rider’s legs to easily reach the ground. Nokia Lumia 610: A Windows Phone 0

Robo tech | 3:55 AM | ,

Nokia announced at the Mobile World Congress the much leaked Lumia 610. It is the budget Window Phones aimed for the ‘younger audience’.
Uniquerobots
Lumia 610 is the first phone to break the strict hardware requirements of Microsoft. It is running Windows Phone 7.5 Tango. It is powered by a modest 800 MHz single-core processor, 256GB of RAM and a mere 8GB of internal memory. It is also packed with 5MP auto-focus camera with LED flash, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack, microUSB port and a 1300mAh battery. Not bad for a phone that is likely to sell for less than €200.
Microsoft apparently made restrictions on the performance of phones running on low amount of RAM to make it smooth and responsive. It turned off some of the background tasks like automatic upload to SkyDrive and Bing Local Scout. But users will still be able to play music in the background.
The Lumia 610 is expected to be launched in Q2 of 2012.

Nokia Drive 3 teased at MWC with commute alerts via live tiles 0

Robo tech | 3:53 AM | ,

When the folks at Nokia took us aside and asked if we'd like a preview of the latest features slated forNokia Drive, we knew something good was in store. Our intuition wasn't wrong. The next version of Nokia's navigation software will focus on commutes -- aiming to make the daily chore easier by learning driving habits, identifying regular trips and providing users with live tile updates that estimate journey times and traffic flow. Nokia Drive 3 will automatically query this data 30 minutes before an established commute is expected to begin, and will also provide drivers with suggested quicker routes to their destination. The traffic data is gathered both from traditional navigation sources and other Nokia Drive 3 users -- we're told this latter bit is completely optional and, while the privacy policy is quite explicit, the company insists it doesn't personally identify users.

Nokia tells us the software interface isn't finalized, so what you see in the Flash demonstration may change before Nokia Drive 3 arrives in the coming months. You'll find a demonstration of the new My Commute feature, from the creator himself, right after the break.

ExerciseBOts Personal Trainer Robot Promotes Healthy Lifestyle and Healthier Weight 0

Robo tech | 3:53 AM | , ,

Presented at ICSR 2011 design award, Gymbot Personal Trainer Robot drew attention from many practitioners. Massimo Battaglia has come up with interesting scenario for the year of 2020 where obesity in developed countries would still be a big issue. Adults and young people do not maintain good balance between their body and food, they don’t actually care about their well being regardless they are aware of the problem. They don’t have the willpower to at least try to regain control of their lives, they prefer to use shortcuts which in the end are usually proven ineffective. Overweight is not only a health problem, it can also be an issue when it comes to social and working relationship.
There are solutions that promise you instant result, however nothing beats the strong will to have a healthy lifestyle. You will need a trainer that help you to control and correct your bad behaviors, give you the courage to keep your exercise routine to stay healthy and fit.

Google going to launch it's Chromebook in 2012 0

Robo tech | 3:35 AM |

Internet giant Google's Chromebook, a laptop-like device or a netbook tailor-made for Web browsing and running on its Chrome Operating System, is likely to be shipped in India by early 2012.

Sundar Pichai, Senior Vice-President, Chrome and Apps for Google, said: “we are very excited about chrome books we have taken our 1st step in the long journey. so we have exceeded the market in many countries to gain mindshare. In 2012 we will be expanding in more countries and it's my hope that we will be India also.”

Chromebook was launched earlier this year and runs on Google's cloud-based operating system and its Web browser Chrome. Priced between $349 to $499 in the international markets, only Samsung and Acer currently sell Chromebooks through online stores.

“Chrome, is very popular on laptops, where most of the time is spent browsing and, it was natural for us to take the next step: build an OS to bring the full power of the Web to users. In October 2011, Chrome overtook Microsoft's Internet Explorer as the most popular browser in India,” Pichai said.

Analysts say Google needs to address issues of pricing and features to make it a success in India.

Google says as of now Chrome will be only for the laptop market, while the popular android operation system will be for Smartphone's and tablets.
